R.I.P.

Another little bit of the 80's has gone!

For those of us that grew up with movies such as 'Pretty In Pink', 'Ferris Beuller', The Breakfast Club', Sixteen Candles', and 'Some Kind Of Wonderful', the news of John Hughes death from a heart attack comes as a huge loss.

John Hughes, who created some of the most famous comedies of the 1980s and 1990s, was only 59. He not only directed but wrote dozens of films that became the backdrop of my teen years.

He was also responsible for dozens of other movies, the 'Home Alone' series, 'Maid In Manhattan', 'Flubber', 'Curly Sue', and so many more. His genius will be sorely missed.
