Hot on the heels of 'Glee's' success is the news that Disney are following up their insanely successful High School Musical series with a new TV series based on the same theory, and tentatively called Madison High.
If the pilot gets the go-ahead Madison High will use the break-in-to-song technique of HSM and tell the story of about eleven 16 year olds navigating High School. The series will be set at Madison High school, which is trying to build a revolutionary theatre program, and follows a pool of students who, by the end of the year, will have produced an original piece based on their lives. The big difference between this and Glee, apart from the PG content is the original songs.
What a ripper - we know Disney does this type of thing extremely well and if they can hit on a casting dream like Efron and Hudgens then they'll have a massive hit on their hands.
