The Fabulous Baker Boy
A dear friend of Stars Hollow has always had a bit of a crush on Mr Simon Baker Denny (or just Baker as he is now known.) So when I heard that he had picked up the award for hottest man on television I thought that Eliza might enjoy some eye candy.
When asked about the award Simon was just bemused that McDreamy hadn't won. I agree that Patrick Dempsey is very cute but I think our boy is just as fine and I think it is a very well deserved award.
Not only is he all blonde and floppy haired and dreamy eyed but he is also a dedicated family man having been married to Rebecca Rigg for the past 12 years, with 3 kids in to the bargain.
And just because I know Eliza will love it - here's a nice naked shot to finish off.

Amanda Won't Be Back
Heather Locklear has demanded $100,000 per episode for the new Melrose Place and it looks like she has priced herself right out of the running. Is it even possible to have a Melrose Place without Amanda? And seriously, it was a bad show. We have done extensive research here at Stars Hollow and discovered that while the original 90210 holds up well to viewing in the new millennium, Melrose not so much. We sat through some excruciating episodes and were truly amazed that we had loved it the first time around. 90210 was still a compelling, relevant and fun show while Melrose, quite frankly, sucked. Now I know there will be those of you who will be up in arms but have you re-watched it recently?? Talk to me when you have.

Zac Efron offered words of comfort to a crying fan at the UK premiere of his new movie “17 Again,” it has emerged. Chloe Campbell, 17, had been dumped by her boyfriend just moments before Efron spotted her on the red carpet at the Odeon West End cinema in Leicester Square.
Speaking to the Daily Star about their encounter, Campbell admitted: “I can’t believe it. I totally love Zac - he’s amazical. My boyfriend just texted me to say it’s over. I was crying about it and Zac actually stopped to ask if I was OK. I told him all about what had happened and he gave me a hug and said I’m pretty and confident and cool and that I’m wasted on a coward who texts a dumping. If I stood out enough to stop Zac, I’ll be fine. My ex was a minger, anyway.”
Meanwhile, Efron commented: “It happens every day. I love it when kids come and ask for advice. It’s very flattering.”
On a personal note, i do think that 'amazical' should be introduced into our language!!!

well now it is a film to be released in october this year, brought to us by Spike Jonze, of 'Being John Malkovich' fame (you may also recognise him as the lead dancer in the fat boy slim video clip 'praise you') . It looks kind of cute to me. See what you think. And for all the local ladies reading this, much of this was filmed at newport Lakes!! Who knew?

Saw a cute little film today. It's not going to get a theatrical release in Australia, so watch out for it in your video shop in the near future. If you liked JUNO, then this is the movie for you. It stars Michael Cera (George Michael for those of you familiar with Arrested Development, or better known as the dad in JUNO) and a reasonably unknown cast.

about last night............
So for all those concerned with my obsession of a boy half my age, no need to worry, as they say, the only way to move on, is in the obsession of another. Therefore, this evening, I have been stalking a previous obsession.
A man who has consistently taken my breath away on the big screen. From early on in 'Witness' as an amish farmer, to 'Perfect Murder ' as Gwyneth's artist lover (in which he also did all the artwork in the film), to 'A walk on the moon' with Diane lane where he played the most gorgeous 'blouseman' (and we got to see his bum!) to '28 days' a rehab film with Sandra bullock, to some more intense roles like "a history of violence' and eastern promises' and of course the role that stopped my heart when he came on screen, as Aragorn in the 'lord of the rings' trilogy.
He is a most thoughtful, beautifully spoken, articulate, multi lingual (about 5 fluent languages) smart man, who acts, sings, writes poetry, is a brilliant photographer (i have been to one of his exhibitions!), is half Danish (a big plus for me!), loves barefeet, and is absolutely gorgeous and most humble about it.
He is Viggo Mortensen!

After the screening he came and sat with us for about an hour and answered questions, then agreed to meet us and sign autographs and have photos taken. He was delightful, gorgeous and just very very lovely!
Did you know that Hugo Boss designed the Nazi's uniform? no, neither did i until Viggo told me tonight. Fascinating!
So anyway, I realise that my passion for viggo is still alive and well and he definitely still holds a place on laminated list (more soon on this topic as promised!).

I'm very sorry K. but it looks like you've been completely out voted. Not only does the majority rule but I think you need to formally apologise to V. for your churlish behaviour of late!! It turns out that most people think Vanessa is sweet and although there is the thought that perhaps they may need to branch out, we're pretty happy with Zac's choice of lady.
And on a personal note, can I just say that while looking for photos of Vanessa to put on this blog I discovered that she has not put a step wrong fashion wise! She always looks fabulous. The Gabriella outfits aside, she is one very stylish lady.

Zac's new project!
Zac Efron is negotiating to re-team with “17 Again” director Burr Steers on an adaptation of the novel “The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud.”
The film will likely be the next for Efron, who just dropped out of the “Footloose” remake.
Former “Good Morning America” exec producer Ben Sherwood wrote the book, about a caretaker at a cemetery who manages to have weekly meetings with a younger brother whose accidental death he feels was his fault.

spandau ballet reunites
I loved Spandau ballet. There! It's out there for all to know, and so i was more than delighted to hear today that they are reuniting for a tour! How fun! It has been said that they should now call themselves SPANDAU BELLY, however I am sure we are all carrying a few extra pounds since the mid 80's! I was lucky enough to drag a couple of lovely loyal friends to a wonderful evening to see Tony Hadley and Paul Young last year and I must say I was not the only one enjoying myself that night!
Look Who's Dropped In To Tree Hill
Look who has popped up on my favourite show of the moment - One Tree Hill! Mr James Van Der Beek - or Dawson Leary to his old friends. He makes an appearance in season 6 as Dixon.
Lovely sense of deja vu as Capeside and Tree Hill are one and the same. Both shows being filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.

We got word from people hotly preparing to work up in Vancouver for New Moon that Rob P. causes quite the commotion on set. No, not from sneaking Kristen Stewart into his trailer. It's much, much dirtier, folks...
"He stinks. I mean, it's awful. He never showers, and it drives people on the set crazy," dishes someone who works in very close quarters with Pattz. Apparently our shaggy-haired love never rinses that bod of his, as Keanu and Brad have famously not done, as well, during extended periods of their hunky lives. Like, ever. And it's past the point of a little BO. "He completely reeks," complains an annoyed crewmember.
It's one of the biggest turnoffs ever—to have a sexy stud shower you with dandruff and odor instead of steamy kisses.

Alexis Is Back
I awoke this morning to some very exciting news - well apart from Zac pulling out of Footloose - our very favourite daughter, Miss Rory Gilmore, is going to be back on the small screen.

Alexis will play a new intern, Dr. Julia Wise. This is Alexis’ first time on T.V. since the finale of Gilmore Girls nearly two years ago.

We Miss You Lauren
Our muse and imaginary best friend, Lauren Graham, is developing a new comedy series for ABC called The Bridget Show. Lauren, who will serve as executive producer and star, plays a self-help guru (Bridget) who is unable to let go of her ex once he dumps her.
Here at Stars Hollow there are cheers and whoops of joy that Lauren is going to be back on our TV screens. We have missed her!
The project will be the first TV series for Graham since "Gilmore Girls" ended two seasons ago. She's currently starring in the Broadway run of "Guys and Dolls."
Hopefully the show lives up to Gilmore Girls in a small way but quite honestly, even if it's shit, K and I will still be watching slavishly.
Here's what Lauren had to say about it -
You just signed a deal to star in your own ABC comedy. How did that come about?
Mitch Hurwitz (Arrested Development) and Alex Herschlag (Will & Grace) cooked up this idea that's so wrong it's right. It's the first thing -- after taking many meetings and thinking long and hard about what kind of thing I'd like to do -- that made me laugh. Everything about it made me laugh.
You play a self-help guru who doesn't practice what she preaches. It's already drawing comparisons to Men in Trees.
It's a darker comedy... more like Arrested Development. Men in Trees was a really well written dramedy, but it was soft and sweet -- kind of in the tone of Gilmore Girls. This is more comedic. It's a totally different tone. And I don't live in Alaska.
How is the show darker?
She's a self-help guru who is truly a mess and is obsessed with [her ex-boyfriend] who dumped her. It's really funny because it's so backwards. I went to Barnard College and I did my feminist studies, but I think what's funny about this character is she is deeply flawed. I loved Lorelai, but she wasn't deeply flawed. She was very easy to root for. This is a slightly more twisted central character.
What's the timeline for it?
I'm committed to [Guys & Dolls] through October. But we're trying to figure out if I can shoot [the pilot] while I'm doing the show.
