TIME magazine is thankful...and so am I!
Hey girl, you've had quite the year. Ryan Gosling successfully cast aside The Notebook and his indie-flick past this year and proved himself as a deeply gifted actor and genetically blessed individual. His presence in Crazy, Stupid Love, Drive and Ides of March elevated the otherwise enjoyable films to unexpected levels of cinematic entertainment. For that, we're thankful that 2011 will go down as the year of Ryan Gosling. Everywhere we looked, Gosling's soulful, puppy-dog eyes stared back longingly, even from a fake TIME cover. Obvious talent aside, we're thankful for Gosling's quirkiness, his heroics, his general awesomeness and the memes he inspired. Heck, we're even thankful he wasn't named Sexiest Man Alive so that everyone could be indignant in their love for him and he could become a martyr for sexiness. Thank you, Ryan Gosling. Just, thank you.

Gossip Girl vs BH 90210
Conversation heard at the above function.........
JESSICA: Hi, Brandon.
JASON PRIESTLEY: I go by Jason in regular life, actually.
JESSICA: Yeah, but you’ll always be Brandon Walsh to me. Actually, last time I was on my show, my character dated the Brandon of the show.
JASON: Who’s that? Dan?
JESSICA: Yep — smug, questionable hair, kinda dull, annoyingly superior at times.
JASON: And who was your character?
JESSICA: Well, Blair is Brenda, but also sort of Kelly. And Serena is Kelly, but also sort of Donna. So I’m probably Valerie.
JASON: Out to ruin lives but a lost little girl inside?
JESSICA:… Hmm, that sounds more like Georgina Sparks.
JASON: Andrea? Bespectacled dork who liked cuffed shorts?
JESSICA: Nope.
JASON: Okay, so… Gina? Brought on in later seasons to stir things up?
JESSICA: Nah, that sounds like Serena’s cousin.
JASON:… Emily Valentine?
JESSICA: I think that’s probably Georgina again. I was never interesting enough to burn down a parade float or slip you U4EA.
JASON: Oh, that’s not good. Susan?
JESSICA: Too goody-goody.
JASON: Emily Valentine from the time she had the terrible brown bangs?
JESSICA: Too reformed.
JASON: The girl who married Steve?
JESSICA: Are you kidding me with that?
JASON: Well, who does that leave us with? I can’t even say this…. you’re TRACY. Right?
JESSICA: Tracy? The boring girlfriend who just kind of whined a lot and was dumb enough to think you were proposing? Please God no.
JASON: Clingy and kind of a story mistake? Never fit in with any of the other characters and made lots of dumb assumptions about things?
JESSICA: … Thanks. Thanks a lot. You have officially made my time with that show feel EVEN WORSE now.
JASON: No problem. Listen, at least you never had to say the line, “They must be here for Dick.”
JESSICA: That’s true. I win at that anyway.
Only joking....if only it were true!! Found here!

The Power of Twins
“I took one look at James on the stretcher and burst into tears. I can’t even imagine how it would feel to lose him. We have done everything together since birth and to see my brother laying down on a stretcher pretending to be dead just killed me inside. After James got up and I gave him a huge hug, David said you did great, it was very believable. Then I told him I just thought of it as me and James not Fred and George.” — Oliver Phelps on filming Fred’s death
More Chad Michael Murray!!!
This short film seems to have a lot more artistic credibility than 'Christmas Cupid', with a stellar cast which just happens to include Chad as the lynch pin to the story....
'The Carrier' tells the story of a grieving mother dealing with the loss of her philandering son. She discovers a secret that will profoundly influence her life, the lives around her, and ultimately a new understanding of her son.
Oh it's a feast of CHAD this Tuesday.....

Christmas Cupid
Sometimes there are movies that just have to be watched regardless of how potentially dodgy they may be. You may be compelled due to a certain actor, a topic that's of personal interest or , like in the case of 'The Prince and I 3', just to see how bad a franchise can actually get before it implodes!
The movie I am sharing with you today falls in to the category of - 'I have to watch it because he's in it' category. A perfect example of this category is Zac Efron in 'The Derby Stallion'.
Now even I know this is not a great film but I watched it (and own it) purely because it has Zac in it.
Which brings us to 'Christmas Cupid', a made for TV movie starring Christina Milian and Ashley Benson - but most importantly CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY. There it is! The reason. I am a C.M.M. fan and proud to out myself as such. We have missed him since he and Peyton drove off into the sunset on One Tree Hill so any sighting is better than nothing - so please enjoy the trailer for CHRISTMAS CUPID...
I do not particularly suggest you rush out and watch this movie - it's not appalling but it is a good mid-day movie. Chad is of course fabulous (please take my bias in to consideration) and Christina is OK. The stand out being Ashley Benson from Pretty Little Liars who makes a very appealing coked up movie starlet.

The Great Gatsby
As anyone who doesn't live under a rock knows - we have been hosting some Hollywood heavyweights in our country. Leo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan. We finally have some lovely clear shots of their characters in The Great Gatsby and they look rather smashing.
Unfortunately we don't have a shot of Joel Edgerton but we do have this one of Isla Fisher playing Myrtle..

Lauren on Ellen
A couple of days ago two of our favourite ladies got together for a chat - again. I've lost count of how many times Lauren Graham has been on ELLEN but it can never be too often.

Liam Hemsworth - Hubba Hubba
There just aren't enough places to post this image! Liam Hemsworth is certainly proving that he can hold his own in the 'Hottest Man' stakes. He came in 2nd to Bradley Cooper and although some people were surprised - surely this photo dispels any doubts?

HUNGER GAMES TRAILER
Finally it is here - The Hunger Games trailer released today and I don't know about you but I'm bloody excited.
It's always nerve wraking when a favourite book is made in to a film but by the looks of this trailer it is everything I hoped it would be. The cast is exceptional and I notice we get a quick glimpse of Lenny Kravitz in the trailer! Lenny, along with oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrrelson, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland, not to mention the younger cast members will make this a movie to be enjoyed if only for the calibre of it's actors.

Mistletoe
Everyone scoffed when I bought it but....Justin Beiber's Christmas album Under the Mistletoe is the first holiday album by a male artist to debut at No. 1 in the 55-year history of the Billboard 200 and just the eighth holiday album to hit No. 1. Susan Boyle’s 2010 album The Gift is the only other Christmas effort to open on top of the list.
Mistletoe also marks Justin’s third No. 1 album. He is the first soloist to earn three No. 1s before his 18th birthday.

Saturday night DJ
A new song from one of my very fave bands, Kashmir. I discovered these guys in Copenhagen in 1999 with their amazing 'The Good Life' album, most definitely worth a listen.

Zac's Mo'
There are two reasons why Zac is still sporting a mo - either he is supporting Mo-vember and raising awareness for men's health - or he hasn't been home since the Halloween party!! I'm kind of hoping it's the latter.
