Scott speedman

Hey,

Anyone in the US who got to watch the premiere of the new Scott Speedman series Last Resort, let us know how it was! The Hollow loves us some Speedman!

And just a little bit of ryan...throwing rocks...why not!

If you have not seen BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD, please do so.

It is one of the most affecting, beautiful films I have seen in a very long time. It is like a visual poem that touches you in the rawest way and stays with you long after you have left the cinema. The performances by amateur actors are amazing and you will fall in love with Hush Puppy without even realising it has happened so quickly. It is so hard to use words to describe this film, so just go and see it for yourself and feel it instead.........

In a forgotten but defiant bayou community cut off from the rest of the world by a sprawling levee, a six-year-old girl exists on the brink of orphanhood. Buoyed by her childish optimism and extraordinary imagination, she believes that the natural world is in balance with the universe until a fierce storm changes her reality. Desperate to repair the structure of her world in order to save her ailing father and sinking home, this tiny hero must learn to survive unstoppable catastrophes of epic proportions

Hey St. Jude is a music video debuted by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The video, appropriately set to the tune of the popular Beatles’ song "Hey Jude," hit YouTube on Wednesday as a part of the hospital’s year-long celebration of its 50th anniversary. The video was created to raise money for St. Jude to help kids battling cancer and other deadly diseases. Check it out to see all the wonderful stars who are using their celebrity to help this wonderful cause.

Matt unexpectedly turned up for his best buddy's film premiere ARGO, AT TIFF last night. Just read an interview with Ben today, where he was saying howling excited he was that Matt had finally made the move to LA, and they can now hangout together all the time. So cute!

Nicole's Not really Red!

I can not believe I have gone this long unaware of this astonishing fact. I feel strangely cheated, duped even. For decades Australians have embraced Nic as our favourite red head and it turns out she's a big fat faker.

Since I have fair skin, I have to stay out of the sun. I can't stand the sun. I dyed my hair red for a while during the 1990s but I'm actually a natural blonde.

Ever since Chase through the night, the directors made me dye my hair red, as they all thought it suited me at the time. Even for Dead Calm (1989), Phillip Noyce made me dye my hair red. Now the directors and studios just let me keep my natural blonde hair.

This made me wonder who else has been masquerading as a red head and wouldn't you know it Nicole is not the only one. Some I was aware of but others came as a complete shock. Here are some of the minx's who have been stooging us....

Christina Hendricks - she's been rocking fake hair colour since chilhood, I wonder if even she knows what her natural colour is now.

Alyson Hannigan - can you believe it? Naturally a chocolate brown, Alyson had me completely fooled.

Laura Prepon - Also a brunette but was asked to dye her hair red by the producers of That 70's Show. I definitely didn't see that one coming.

The delightful Emma Stone - arguably this generation's most famous red head is in fact a blonde. This I knew but it still amazes me.

Amy Adams - the screen darling couldn't make it past supporting actress until she changed her hair colour. Now the world is her oyster.

And in the biggest stooge of all time The Weasley twins are BRUNETTES! That is just wrong. Shattering news for those of us who still kind of believe the Weasley's are real and not fictional characters.

So there you have it. A whole bunch of fake Rangas!

Re-Vamped Miley

Miley has updated her official website, reflecting her new style and moving on from the pop princess that followed her Hannah Montana days. The new version seems to sit more comfortably with Miley's style which is much more country/rock than pop. The site also has a wonderful version of 'Lilac Wine' sung in Miley's Backyard Sessions.

ARGO - this is a good film

ARGO is the latest efforts from Ben Affleck, who directed and starred in this excellent film based on
true events, that chronicles the life-or-death covert operation to rescue six Americans, which unfolded behind the scenes of the Iran hostage crisis—the truth of which was unknown by the public for decades.
On November 4, 1979, as the Iranian revolution reaches its boiling point, militants storm the U.S. embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage. But, in the midst of the chaos, six Americans manage to slip away and find refuge in the home of the Canadian ambassador. Knowing it is only a matter of time before the six are found out and likely killed, a CIA "exfiltration" specialist named Tony Mendez (Affleck) comes up with a risky plan to get them safely out of the country. A plan so incredible, it could only happen in the movies.

Ben has definitely hit his stride as a director. The film looks great and works a treat.

Lips, specifically Tom Hardy's

If you read this regularly, you'll know that one of my weaknesses is a set of hot lips (the other is barefooted men) I sat through LAWLESS last night starring Tom Hardy, and while it is not his best work, although it is a great film, , I was more than happy to stare at those lips for a couple of hours.

In fact, it was a film of excellent lips, Jessica Chastain, who is absolutely gorgeous, is also in the film, and has lovely lips.
