Wonder Woman
When NBC released the first official image of Adrianne Palicki in costume for David E. Kelley’s Wonder Woman, the response to the costume was scorn and derision. But NBC was listening and the costume has been partially re-designed. The top-half still looks plastic and shiny, but the pants have been changed to resemble actual pants and a nifty pattern of gold stars runs up the sides. The color of the boots has also been changed from blue to the traditional red.
See, i can do 'super' as well!!!!

Ellan and Keith - GOLD!!
Ellen pays a surprise visit...
Quickie trivia question
Each week, i am in charge of thinking up a trivia question for one of the cinema's new release films....here is this week's. See how you go......
Think back……15 years ago……a handsome young actor portrayed a lawyer and you thought he was fantastic…it was A TIME TO KILL and that actor was Matthew McConaghey. He is back ! LINCOLN LAWYER is the film and it is currently sitting at 82% on Rottentomatoes.com. For your trivia queston this week, I’m taking you waaay back! There is an actor in LINCOLN LAWYER whose lead role in a film literally ‘rocked’ my world in the mid 1980’s. Can you name the actor and the film?

Matt
Ok, so I know that you are not all on board with this one, but hey, I say bring on stinky, bongo loving, trailer living, shirt hating Matthew McConaghy!!! He has a new film opening this week called LINCOLN LAWYER, hence the cover below! He plays a lawyer whose office is the back of a Lincoln car who is representing a high profile client, Ryan Phillipe. Haven't seen it yet, but am hearing good things. Sitting at 82% on rotten tomatoes......Don't write it off just because you are not a fan! Think Matt in A TIME TO KILL, remember how good he was, just saying........
'The original and the best' or 'I just fainted'
i couldn't decide what to call this post!!! After all, it is about the original and best crush and I just fainted when i heard the following news. Not only is Rob Lowe on the cover of Vanity Fair, without his top on, but he is spruiking his new book. An autobiography called 'Stories i only tell my Friends'. But it appears he is now sharing with all of us! And i will happily be a recipient. Tales from the set of The Outsiders, his life growing up as mates of the Sheens and Penns, the brat pack and surely there will be a pictorial history as well!!!! i can't tell you how this news is making me feel. Too excited!!!! Click here to hear Rob reading an excerpt from the book.
How Could I Forget...
Amy Adams appeared on Smallville in Season 1, Episode "Craving"
She played Jodi Melville, an over weight teen who ingested meteor rock and proceeded to lose enormous amounts of weight but she was so hungry she had to suck the fat out of other people like a vampire, her body losing fat too fast for regular food to keep up.

BARNEY'S VERSION Review
What a great little film this turned out to be. It's the story of Barney Panofsky, a hard drinking, hard smoking, outspoken, passionate man, we follow over about 30 years of his life, mostly dictated by his marriages. There are three!!! It is based on a book written by Mordecai Richler.
The film jumps back and forth in time, but once you work out who everyone is, and which hairstyle fits which era, it is easy to follow. Although Barney is not the most likeable of characters, his charms win you over, and you become a friend!!! Paul Giamatti, best known for SIDEWAYS, plays BArney superbly. And it is truly a superbly cast film and the reason why I ended up loving it so much. The best moments are the ones shared by Barney and his father, played by Dustin Hoffman. These are great scenes and a treat for the viewer. Rosamund Pike is truly beautiful as his true love, but it is Minnie Driver that steals scenes as barney's 2nd wife(she remains nameless in the film!), the jewish princess. She was born for this role!!
'Felicity' fans are in for a treat. Scott Speedman plays Barney's best friend Boogy, a drug addicted writer. well hello dishevelled Scott!! He is great in this, and kinda hot!!!!
Paul Giamatti won a Golden Globe for his role in this film, best actor in a comedy/musical, and deservedly so. It's funny, heartwarming, interesting and a great story. Tears and laughter, brilliant performances and a great story. Go see it!!!

Smallville - Day 6 Making Superman History - Chloe Sullivan
Smallville has succeeded in making it's own mark on the Superman myth....
Chloe (Clark's best friend and secret keeper) and Whitney (Lana Lang's first boyfriend) were created specifically for the show (they were never mentioned in the Superman comics). However, in 2003, DC Comics announced that Chloe would be introduced into the Superman comics.
I can only imagine how exciting that must have been for the writers and creators of the character. It turns out we may still have to wait a while to see Chloe grace the comics.

Chloe's journey is a fascinating one.
Chloe Sullivan, played by Allison Mack, is one of Smallville’s most popular characters, if not THE most popular if fansites are to be believed. She was created as a Lois Lane archetype and the character has unusually taken on a life of her own, always remaining a key part of the show despite being the first name on everyone’s list whenever the producers announce they’re going to kill someone off.

It’s odd, as well, because so many regulars – who form an important part of the Superman mythos, like Lana and Lex – have left the show in the meantime. Not Chloe, though. She’s not on the show now to fulfill her original purpose as a Lois Lane stand-in. The show has had Lois Lane for a long time – Chloe’s there because fans want her there. Nice work Chloe (and massive kudos to Allison Mack)
They've Cast Lois
Official word is out from director Zack Snyder himself, that Academy-award nominated actress Amy Adams is joining Superman: Man Of Steel as none other than Lois Lane!
“There was a big, giant search for Lois,” Snyder said. “For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.”
“It goes back to what I’ve said about Superman and making him really understandable for today. What’s important to us is making him relebant and real and making him empathetic to today’s audience so that we understand the decisions he makes. That applies to Lois as well. She has to be in the same universe as him [in tone and substance].”
“Second only to Superman himself, the question of who will play Lois Lane is arguably what fans have been most curious about," Snyder said in a statement Sunday. "So we are excited to announce the casting of Amy Adams, one of the most versatile and respected actresses in films today. Amy has the talent to capture all of the qualities we love about Lois: smart, tough, funny, warm, ambitious and, of course, beautiful."

I think I am falling a little bit in love........
I have just spent the night with Bradley Cooper. And I liked it alot! He is of course doing the rounds at the moment to promote LIMITLESS. Hence, this evening, I have watched him be cool with Robert Deniro on Jimmy Fallon, be extremely charming and funny with Graham Norton and fangirl over Liam Neeson, and delightful and emotional on his return to 'Inside the Actor's Studio' where he was actually a student. Worth a watch as they even show him as an audience member firing off questions to guests like Robert Deniro. GOLD! I actually can't getr enough. Here is a taste of the 'Actor's Studio' gig, see if you can stop watching after this...he is a little addictive.........
Have you ever watched the film POWDER?
I hadn't watched it for years (the film originally came out in 1995), but have just finished rewatching. It's a pretty cool film about an albino orphaned child that has been locked away from everyday life by his grandparents, but when they both die, he must enter the real world but finds it difficult to be accepted because his appearance and actions are so different to those around him. His 'powers' become apparent as the film progresses and while some are frightened, others are in awe of his abilities. It's kind of beautiful in ways, as we are forced to think about how the way people look affects the way we think about them.
Sean Patrick Flanery played the role of POWDER beautifully and although fairly unrecognisable as Powder, he is quite the spunk in real life. It appears he has accidentally got caught up in a horror film career since but has just announced in the last couple of weeks that he will be joining the cast of THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES!!! He is on twitter and has his own blog, so if you are a fan, you will be able to stay up to date fairly easily!!!
Back Roads
Back Roads was the first novel by author Tawni O'Dell back in 2000. i've never read it but am off to hunt it down as it is just about to be made into a film, and everyone knows that you need a certain amount of space between the reading of a book and the viewing of the film version. The film will star Andrew Garfield, Jennifer Garner, and Marcia Gay Harden. It was on Oprah's bookclub but I'm not letting that put me off!!!
The story goes.....
Harley Altmyer should be in college drinking Rolling Rock and chasing girls. He should be freed from his closed-minded, stricken coal town, with its lack of jobs and no sense of humor. Instead, he's constantly reminded of just how messed up his life is.
With his mother in jail for killing his abusive father, Harley is an orphan with the responsibilities of an adult and the fiery, aggressive libido of a teenager. Just nineteen years old, he's marooned in the Pennsylvania backwoods caring for his three younger sisters, whose feelings about him range from stifling dependence to loathing. And once he develops an obsession with the sexy, melancholic mother of two living down the road, those Victoria's Secret catalogs just won't do the trick anymore. He wants Callie Mercer so badly he fears he will explode. But it's the family secrets, the lies, and the unspoken truths that light the fuse and erupt into a series of staggering surprises, leaving what's left of his family in tatters. Through every ordeal, the unforgettable Harley could never know that his endearing humor, his love for his sisters, and his bumbling heroics would redeem them all.
Last night - trailer
This one might make you have a little think.....
The story follows a married couple, apart for a night while the husband takes a business trip with a colleague to whom he's attracted. While he's resisting temptation, his wife encounters her past love. Stars Sam Worthington and keira Knightley.

The Trifecta
It doesn't get much better than this for me - 3 of my absolute favourite TV ladies in the one photo. Not only that but they represent 3 of the best TV shows ever made! If Sophia Bush had turned up life would just about be perfect.
This gem stars Alexis Bledel (Rory - Gilmore Girls), Kristen Bell (Veronica - Veronica Mars), and Erica Durance (Lois - Smallville)

BRIDESMAIDS
Last night I was lucky enough to catch a sneak preview of the new film BRIDESMAIDS due out in australia on June 30th. It stars Kristen Wiig of Saturday Night Live fame, who also wrote the film, Maya Rudolph and two lovely Aussie chicks, Rose Byrne and Rebel Wilson. Can't say too much at this stage, but it's pretty fun!!! THE HANGOVER for chicks!!!
Speaking of Matt and chapstick.....
Matt Damon and Michael Douglas told E!'s Marc Malkin and Brett Malec that they're going to be locking lips more than once in the upcoming Liberace biopic directed by Steven Soderbergh:
"It's scripted that there's more than one," Damon revealed to us last night at the Hollywood premiere of My Way, the new HBO documentary about überproducer Jerry Weintraub.
Damon, who is set to play Liberace's much younger lover, added with a smile, "I never thought I would get to kiss Michael Douglas."
Shortly after the movie was announced, Douglas told me, "I just saw Matt...and I was teasing him," he said. "I was saying, 'Bring a lot of ChapStick, babe.'

Bourne
So they have decided to not use matt Damon in the next Bourne (in the words of Vivian 'BIG mistake'!) however, they were talking Jake Gyllenhall and the like for awhile but now, apparently they have narrowed it down to the following:
Luke Evans, Joel Edgerton, Dominic Cooper and Garrett Hedlund. And Shia Leboeuf is still in the race! What is it with him that I am just not getting?? Anyway, I'm not really feeling any of these. It's so hard when they had the best, I say just be happy with what you have done and leave it alone.

Camilla Belle
The death of Elizabeth Taylor has reminded me of a post I've been meaning to do for a while. It may seem tenuous but The lovely Camilla Belle immediately came to mind as I see a lot of similarities in the beauty of these two women.
Camilla is 25 years old and has been modelling and acting since her childhood. Camilla also went to the University of Edinburgh. She studied classical piano, and modern language there. She speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
Camilla was nominated for a 1999 Youth in Film Young Artist award, for her role in the movie, Practical Magic. She was also nominated in 1999, for her guest appearance on the TV series, Walker, Texas Ranger. She is yet to make a huge splash but I'm sure we won't have to wait long.
Camilla is an international spokesperson for the charity, Kids With A Cause. The charity provides a helping hand to children suffering from poverty, hunger, lack of education, neglect or abuse.
Every time I see a picture of Camilla on the red carpet I am struck by her, so I thought I'd see just what she is all about...
