It reminded me of another film starring Annabeth Gish called BEAUTIFUL GIRLS. It also starred Timothy Hutton, Matt Dillon, Uma Thurman, Mira Sorvino, Lauren Holly, Natalie Portman, Martha Plimpton, Michael Rapaport and Rosie O'Donnell. It was released in 1996 and a 14 year old Natalie Portman absolutely stole the movie. She was divine. The soundtrack was extremely cool and I remember really enjoying the film at the time. I think another viewing is required!

It's been awhile since I've watched Shag, but I remember really liking it when I was in high school. We all got together to watch it before our Senior trip to the beach. I've never seen Beautiful Girls. I'll have to check it out.
