There's A Little Superman in Everyone - at least there should be

I have long been of the opinion that most movie characters would be improved if they were played by Tom Welling.  In fact let's be honest - everyone, everywhere should be played by Tom Welling (*sigh*)  Well someone else had similar ideas and did something about it...  Here is Tom as - Green Lantern - please god, let this be a series of Youtube vids.

Breaking news! Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal, X-Men Origins) will attend the Australian premiere of his superhero action flick GREEN LANTERN in Melbourne on Tuesday August 9, 2011 before he walks the red carpet at the Sydney premiere the following night!

Oh yes please!  I think the Stars Hollow staff need to be at that.  Best we work on it.

Green Lantern

I've gone a bit 'Fanboy' about the upcoming Green Lantern and can barely wait until it is released here.  X-Men kept me happy for a while but when it all boils down to it I am definitely a D.C.Comics  girl as opposed to a Marvel girl.

I am sooo going to see this!  I for one think this casting is perfect and as an added bunus to Ryan we also get Blake Lively.

For those of you who aren't Green Lantern fans - here is the back story...
There have been many incarnations of D.C. Comic's Green Lantern over the years but the in the late 1950s they revived the Green Lantern character, this time as test pilot Hal Jordan, who became a founding member of the Justice League of America.  This is the Green Lantern that the film deals with.

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity.
