The Oscars are so close now, it's getting rather exciting. Of cousre it's not really about the Oscars, is it? It's about the red carpet, the fashions, who's with who, and of course the actual hosts and presenters. We all know that james Franco and Anne Hathaway are the hosts and apparently doing some tribute to GREASE in song version. A liitle nervous about that. Some of the other presenters on the night are Jude Law, Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, Scarlett Johansson, and Russell Brand, Javier Bardem, Matthew McConaughey, Helen Mirren, Cate Blanchett, Hugh Jackman etc.

Faces of Smallville

Look who has popped up on Smallville again.  Mr Lucas Grabeel - he of the High School Musical fame where he played the hilarious Ryan Evans.

Lucas appeared in various earlier episodes of Smallville playing the younger Lex Luthor and now here he is again in season 10 playing Connor.  Love a good link between shows.  I'm almost as excited as I was when he appeared in an episode of the amazing 'Veronica Mars'.

While we're on the subject of all things 'Super' indulge me while I sigh over this shot of Lois and Clark.... Aaaahh!

Would You Believe It - Baby Facebook!

FACEBOOK has close to 600 million users, and as of yesterday, at least one baby named after it.

In honour of the role the social network played in the revolution in Egypt - which led to the departure of longtime President Hosni Mubarak - one Egyptian couple named their baby girl "Facebook", TechCrunch reported.
Citing an article in Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram, the technology blog reported that Jamal Ibrahim chose the name as a way to express his gratitude to the country's youth.


The girl's family, friends, and neighbours in the Ibrahimia region gathered around the newborn to show their continuing support for the internet-aided revolution, the paper said.
The social networking site played a crucial role in the Egyptian uprising, so much so that it has widely been labeled "the Facebook Revolution".
