Ok, so I'll try and give an unbiased opinion of this film, given the love I have for Matt ∂amon, this might be a little difficult, but here goes.
Essentially this film is a romance. Albeit, a sci-fi romance. I'd heard people throwing around that this film was the poor man's INCEPTION, and although the plot does contain much about mind altering and the like, that would be for me where the similarities end. And It's definitely alot easier to follow this plot!! Without bias, I would say the reason this film works so well is Matt Damon, and his costar Emily Blunt, whom I also adore. From the minute Matt hits the screen, you are drawn to him and happily take the ride, wherever he is going!! And without spoiling the plot, I want their first kiss! The chemistry is definitely there.
The official synopsis goes something like this: "On the brink of winning a seat in the U.S. Senate, ambitious politician David Norris (Damon) meets beautiful contemporary ballet dancer Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt)--a woman like none he's ever known. But just as he realizes he's falling for her, mysterious men conspire to keep the two apart. David learns he is up against the agents of Fate itself--the men of The Adjustment Bureau--who will do everything in their considerable power to prevent David and Elise from being together. In the face of overwhelming odds, he must either let her go and accept a predetermined path...or risk everything to defy Fate and be with her."
The supporting cast are also great, headed up by Anthony mackie, who has the potential to be one of our great actors. New York city also features fairly heavily in this one, and it did make me yearn for a bit of a trip to the Big Apple.
Who makes our decisions? Do we have free will or is everything in our lives premeditated to fit into the grand scheme of things? It's an interesting concept and it will leave you thinking....
In summary, this is a great little movie. Don't expect to be blown away by amazing visual effects and mind bending plots as in INCEPTION, but do see this film if you are on a date with a new person (ripper date film!), if you like a little sci-fi with your romance, if you love a good romance and most particularly, if you love Matt ∂amon. On any of these levels this should be an enjoyable experience for you.

I love a bit of this game so here goes....the two presenters were Scarlett Johannson and Matthew McConaghy (who by the way looked extremely sexy and washed...if you are wondering...I would!) So the Scarlett connection, Franco co-starred in his new film “His Highness” with Natalie Portman, who was in “The Other Boleyn Girl” with Scarlett Johansson. The Matthew connection...Franco played best friends drug dealin ‘with Danny McBride in “Pineapple Express.” McConaughey and McBride co-starred in “Tropic Thunder”.

Tonight, I am pondering the question, is there enough Dermot Mulroney in the world at the moment? I fear not. Thank god for Friday night repeats. Wedding Date is on tonight, and I'm loving every second. Think back to the good old days when Mulroney would pop up all the time...Friends, My Best Friend's Wedding, Must Love Dogs, How to Make an American Quilt, Family Stone etc Aaaahh, the Mulroney!
While we are talking about HSM alum - here is the latest clip from the much anticipated TV movie about the fabulous Sharpay Evans, Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure. - After a talent scout spots her performing with her dog Boi at a charity gala, Sharpay sets off for the bright lights of NYC, convinced instant fame and fortune are in the bag. But the theatre is a dog-eat-dog world, as she and Boi discover when they encounter the devious owner of a pampered Pooch named “Countess” and a scheming Broadway starlet who will do anything to crush the competition.
Fortunately, Sharpay also meets Peyton (Austin Butler), a handsome student filmmaker who finds Sharpay nearly as fascinating as she finds herself.
This is the Baby V that I have a soft spot for - happy smile, skanky hair gone, looking gorgeous. She's off to tape Letterman and I think she looks great.
OMG Stop the press - get my poor co-editor a brown paper bag.... The gorgeous Olivia Wilde was seen out on what appears to be a date with the equally gorgeous Ryan Gosling. According to E.News the two were spotted at a Cincinnati aquarium recently and their coziness was caught on tape! Unfortunately the footage has since been removed from Youtube but apparently showed them getting rather cosy!!
A quickie post of my thoughts on the Oscars last night.
I so wanted Anne and James to do a good job, and sadly, they just didn't cut it. the montage was promising but then..... Was James Franco stoned? He didn't look into the camera, he looked as though he couldn't be bothered, which left Anne looking as though she was trying too hard, which you can understand given James performance. He even jetted straight out of LA as soon as the Awards were finished saying he had to get back to class. Bring back Hugh I say!
Highlights were:
Helen Mirren and Russell Brand presenting - love them both. They are actually bloody funny, without trying or forcing. Got to love the Brits
Speaking of Brits, Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr had lots of fun paying out on each other.
And still further, what a gorgeous winner Colin Firth was. Absolutely great speech. Ooh, he;s so lovely!
Loved both Jeff Bridges and Sandra Bullock presenting.

loved the simplicity of Jennifer Lawrence (see below) Even though as someone mentioned, it was a little Baywatch, I thought she looked gorgeous and very appropriate for her 20 years.
I may not be popular with this comment, but I think the Kirk Douglas thing went on way too long. People were saying he was so cute, but seriously, what's cute about some poor bastard who can't speak due to having a stroke?

Apparent;ly talks are being held with john Stamos to join the cast of TWO AND A HALF MEN, after production has been halted due to Charlie Sheen's behaviour and attitude, and is now demanding even more money to come back to the set. John's character would be a new one, but slot in where Charlie left off. We shall wait and see.
