Jana Hits The Charts

I know there are many of our readers who are One Tree Hill fans and although I haven't written about it lately, believe me I'm still 100% committed to the guys of Tree Hill.  This morning I discovered that Jana Kramer (Alex) has released a song.  'Why Ya Wanna' and has become the most added bebut artist in the history of 'Country Aircheck' - Yes!!! She's country all the way which excites me no end.

He's Back

Hell Yes!!!  A couple of days ago Chad Michael Murray announced to his Twitter followers that his character Lucas would be returning to Tree Hill for one episode in their final season!  There is nothing better than a beloved character coming back and Tree Hill without Chad just isn't right.  The Scott brothers are back!!  Unfortunately Peyton won't be joining him but you can't have everything.

One Tree Hill

Could it be possible?  There is talk that now that OTH is coming into it's final 13 episodes there is a chance that Lucas and Peyton may make a return.  How fantastic.  While I'm sad that OTH is coming to an end, it has had a great run and at least we have one more short season to watch.
Fingers crossed that Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray can clear their schedules to make an appearance in Tree Hill.

Congratulations Brooke & Julian

The moment we've been waiting for has finally arrived and gone off without a hitch!
Finally the lovely Brooke Davis is safely married and all looks rosy.  Here are some wedding snaps ....

I haven't seen the episode yet but I'm assuming Peyton and Lucas didn't make it which is just plain wrong! They should have made that happen.  Doesn't Brooke look gorgeous - apparently Sophia Bush had a hand in designing the dress.

I'm Back

Which means there may be a little less Ryan but I'm sure you'll cope.  I'm not the only one back from holidays - lots of our favourite TV gems are back in the next week or so and we even have some new favourites starting.

To begin the TV fest here is a promo for the season return of the fabulously dysfunctional New York brats at Gossip Girl which premieres on January 24th for those of you waiting to download it from the US!



Looks Like I'd better catch up with what's going on in the Upper East Side - Chace Crawford needs my attention!

The very next day - 25th Jan - we get to see just what happens to the sexual tension between Marti and Dan on HELLCATS.  There is nothing quite like a couple who should be together but never quite do, episode after episode - think Rachael and Ross, Lucas and Peyton, Clark and Lois - it's a formula guaranteed to get viewers tuning in every week and it's definitely working for me on HELLCATS.

Exciting news for Australian viewers with the launch of Channel 11 tomorrow!  Not only will the fabulous SMALLVILLE feature, but 90210 is finally getting a go on Australian Television.  Can't wait!!

ONE TREE HILL also returns in January but more about that later...

But my personal favourite return is that of GREEK for it's final season.  I'm devastated that it's coming to an end but I must admit that they have been smart to end it when the characters finish up at Cyprus Rhodes College rather than trying to follow them into their new lives.  It's a mistake many shows have made and it rarely works. 

So I will just have to enjoy it while it lasts and resign myself to reruns for my 'Cappie' fix.  It airs tonight so you know what I'll be doing!!

Tree Hill Has A New Resident

Well not new exactly but a permanent fixture now.  The lovely Chase who dated Brooke in High School, and then returned in season four to date Mia, has made a comeback of sorts, being a new love interest for Alex.  The news is just in that Stephen Colletti will play Chase on a permanent basis and has been made a series regular.  This is great news and will hopefully mean that we'll see a lot more of him in 2011.

Exciting News For OTH Fans

For all of us who haven't quite got over the fact that Lucas and Peyton have left Tree Hill and are still living with the hope that they will turn up at Hayley and Nathan's one day out of the blue - don't give up that dream...Mark Schwan recently revealed that everyone over on One Tree Hill is game for Lucas and Peyton to return.

"If schedules don't work [for Brooke's wedding], maybe we'll bring back Chad and Hilarie at a later date," he said. "If we get a full season maybe at the end of the journey, but those two characters are a big part of this world. We've talked about it, and there seems to be interest from all sides."

I think this bit of news has gone a long way towards closing up the Chad Michael Murray sized whole in my heart and I only hope this is not just a tease. Maybe I can incorporate this into the script I have been developing for the Lucas/Peyton spin-off show!

Why We Love Julian

If you were in any doubt - this should clear it up for you. 
It was touch and go as to whether One Tree Hill would survive when Peyton and Lucas left but Brooke and Julian have stepped in to the breach admirably.

Look out, Brooke, your mother-in-law is coming to town—and she wants to plan your wedding!

You may recognise Julian's mum - she is Sharon Lawrence from NYPD Blue but she may be more familiar to Stars Hollow readers as Izzy's white-trash Mum on Grey's Anatomy.

She'll turn up in One Tree during season 8 which by the way starts in the U.S on September the 14th.  CAN NOT WAIT!

This Is Why I LOVE One Tree Hill

Any show that references GREASE 2 has it all going on as far as I am concerned.
For those of you who aren't fans of One Tree Hill YET - GREASE 2 is Julian's favourite movie which says it all.

BRILLIANT - One Tree Hill Meets Life Unexpected

On October 12 in the States, a pair of One Tree Hill characters will appear on Life Unexpected in an inspired cross-over episode.
Here's how it will go down:


Haley and Mia (OTH) will travel to perform at a Portland music festival sponsored by Cate’s (Life Unexpected) radio station.  Hayley and Cate bond over their shared high school pregnancy pasts.

I can not even begin to tell you how excited I am about this - not since Kelly Taylor from 90210 visited Jake at Melrose Place have I been this thrilled.

More Good News OTH Fans

I've been waiting with baited breath to hear the fate of our favourite drama One Tree Hill.  I was most relieved back in May when it was announced that it would be back for an 8th season but then I found out it had only been picked up for half a season - seriously, how can they do that??

Well, all praise to the powers that be at the CW because it has been confirmed today that there will be a full 22 episode season for One Tree Hill this year!!!  Woo Hooo!!!

 It's a good thing that we've got a full-length season, as this may be the last Tree Hill sees of original cast members Sophia Bush (Brooke), James Lafferty (Nathan), and Bethany Joy Galeotti (Hayley), whose contracts expire this year. Oh well - let's cross that bridge when we come to it.

For now I am celebrating.

Joe Manganiello!

A One Tree Hill alum has been a cast member of True Blood for a while now but I have only just made the connection.  Joe Manganiello played Brooke's boyfriend Owen and he is now steaming up the screen as the werewolf Alcide Herveaux.

This photo just confirms to me that werewolves are waaaay hotter than vampires!

Sophia and Austin (or Brooke and Julian)

In the spirit of romance this evening I thought I'd share with you Sophia Bush's words when she admitted she and co-star Austin Nicholls were dating. (thanks Eonline)

"We've been dating off and on for the past four years,"
Sophia was understandably wary about dating a costar after what she refers to as the "Chad [Michael Murray] debacle, but apparently Austin made a grand gesture that convinced her to go for it...

"I was pretty terrified," she admitted, referring to her marriage to her former costar. But it turns out that Austin actually took a job on One Tree Hill to be with her!

"We had so many years of history prior to him coming to work on the show," she explained, "and I think someone taking a job and moving their life across the country to show you how much they care is pretty much the most romantic gesture that a person could make."

Nice work Austin!

Notebook Meets One Tree Hill

One Tree Hill News

A couple of days ago Jana Kramer (Alex-O.T.H) married none other than Johnathon Schaech!!

The couple met on the set of the movie' Prom Night' and on December 22, 2009, Schaech popped the question.
Schaech was of course previously married to actress Christina Applegate, but the pair divorced in 2007.
Jana is most known for her role in One Tree Hill  as Alex, an actress who becomes the new face of Brooke's fashion line.

Schaech's career in movies and television dates back to 1993, but my favourite would have to be 'That Thing You Do!'  with Liv Tyler.

K You've Been Ousted

Well not really but it was a close call.
 
The reason K and I started this blog was to have a chance to share all our weird obsessions without actually having to be in the same room - there just weren't enough hours in the day to talk movies, TV and general stuff so hence Star's Hollow was born. 
Many of our great loves are shared but in 2 areas in particular K has let me down - she is yet to know the joys of One Tree Hill and she is fairly clueless when it comes to the inhabitants of SMALLVILLE.  It's not that she isn't interested, she just hasn't managed to find the time (it may be a question of commitment!).
Therefore you can imagine my excitement to discover someone who not only is a massive fan of both shows but is actually a walking encyclopedia of Superhero knowledge!  Fantastic - I know who's brain I'll be picking when I can't work out why Lex Luthor has a mutant in his basement!

So to - 'He Of Much Knowledge' this is for you...
