It has been announced that AnnaSophia will play a younger version of 'Carrie Bradshaw' in the new pilot 'The Carrie Diaries' for The CW. The storyline will focus on a high-school aged Carrie, following the death of her mother, as she is raised by her father in Connecticut.
It was not clear if – or when — the new show would feature Carrie’s later-in-life “Sex and The City” best friends, including Samantha Jones, who was featured in “Summer and the City: A Carrie Diaries Novel,” or Miranda Hobbes, who was also in the book, which was released in April 2011.
I wonder if the show will appeal to 'Sex and The City' viewers who adore Carrie, or if it will introduce the younger generation to Ms Bradshaw. Either way It will be interesting to see how they approach this prequel and with AnnaSophia at the helm it is bound to be very watchable.
