More Babies

While we're on the topic of new parents we have news about one of our favourite hot dads - Cam Gigandet and his partner are expecting their second child.  Their first daughter, Everleigh is 3 years old.  Congrats - and keep that gene pool active Cam.

BURLESQUE - the review

This film is no GLITTER, but it is cliched and campy but in a good way!

The story goes, poor little orphaned Ali from the middle of nowhere mid america, finds her way to LA where she hopes to make it as a singer. She stumbles across the burlesque club, where she parts with $20 to get in( if I was that poor and in her shoes, I doubt I would have paid $20 bucks to get into a club) and by the end of the night has a job as a waitress in the club. She falls in love the the place, makes some friends and some enemies, and eventually finds her way onto the stage where her amazing voice is dicscovered and lots of people come to see her and she saves the club from being torn down!!! (trust me this is no spoiler, no shocks or surprises in this one!)

Ali is of course played quite annoyingly by Christina Aguilera, probably the main downfall of the film! She can sing, but she can't act, and at all times, I have no sympathy for her character. The rest of the cast are quite fun. Kristen Bell, playing the miffed has been dancer, Julianne Hough as the friendly dancer, a very 'hot' Cam Gigandet as the love interest, Dianna Agron for about 2 minutes onscreen, Stanley Tucci, who is always brilliant, Eric Dane, Peter Gallagher (our fave Sandy Cohen) and Cher who you can't not look at everytime she is onscreen. Not because she is so good, just because she is Cher!

Funnily, Cher has 2 solos in the film, and neither is really appropriate to the storyline, almost as though she insisted that they be there, so they just poked them in where they could!!! Although one of these songs did win a golden globe for best original song!

The dancing is fun and lively, the story is just ok. Cam Gigandet standing in a doorway with just his pyjama pants on, worth the ticket price!!!

We were always going to check this one out!! It was lots of fun, except for Christina Aguliera. How could one person be so annoying? We knew what to expect and weren't disappointed! So if campy, cliched musical is your thing, go see it!!!

Nikki Reed

So, I am no Twihard! I readily admit to loving reading The Twilight books and I have already seen ECLIPSE twice, however these facts alone do not a Twi hard make!

During my 2nd viewing however, I found myself intrigued by the actors in the film, in particular, the Cullen family. I have not hidden the fact that I would definitley have cast the family differently, but I have also been intrigued by what they are like outside of Twilight, and due to the fact I am not a Twi hard, I am choosing to do this research only now. First up is Nikki Reed.

As it happens, she is an interesting character. Grew up in a broken home and ended up living away from her parents and looking after herself at the age of 14. She co wrote the screenplay THIRTEEN (released in 2003) with Catherine Hardwicke...recognise that name? She was the director of the first film in this saga, TWILIGHT. She also starred in this with Evan Rachel Wood, and claims that it is semi autobiographical. Went back to school after this, but was apparently consistently harassed by mothers of students in regards to THIRTEEN, that she left.

Checking over her filmography, I'm thinking that the only other work I may have viewed of hers was in The OC as Ryan's girlfriend Sadie, whose ex just happened to be Volchuk. For those not in the know, he was played by none other than Cam Gigandet, who starred alongside Nikki in the first twilight as James, one of the evil vampires! Check them out below:




Nikki is clearly a brunette in real life and should definitely stay that way, however, has apparently apologised profusely to the Twihards for a brunette being cast as a blonde Rosalie.

So, we shall see where this lady ends up. Apparently she is drawn to more indie fare, so we shall watch and see!

Kristen Bell has been one busy beaver lately completing a couple of movies and another few in pre-production. I love it when there's too much KBell to take in. I couldn't be happier...wait, yes I could. I could be even happier if her newest project involved lots of dancing, and let's say, a hot leading man like CAM GIGANDET, and perhaps even a screen legend like CHER, and let's thrown in CHRISTINA AGUILERA for good measure - that would make me VERY VERY happy.

Oh Daddy

Cam Gigandet could never be accused of being less then 'damn hot' but he has taken his hotness to a whole new level when these pictures surfaced. A hot man kissing a baby and loving his wife is even better than a hot naked man with a puppy.

EASY A

I've found a new film for us. The Scarlett Letter hits high school.

'Easy A' is an adaptation of the famous novel and it's set to be a ripper if the cast is anything to go by!

The comedy will follow a high school girl (Emma Stone) who, "after being ostracized by a false rumour she's loose, uses the rumour mill to her advantage, pitting puritanical students and teachers against their liberal counterparts."

Apparently the script looks great and here's the cast to give you an idea of the calibre - Cam Gigandet (Twilight), Amanda Bynes (She's The Man), Lisa Kudrow (Romy and Michelle), Emma Stone (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past), Alyson Michalka (Bandslam), Thomas Haden Church(Spiderman), Patricia Clarkson (Vicki Christina Barcelona), Stanley Tucci (The Lovely Bones), Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl), and Malcolm McDowell (Heroes),

The fact that this is a teen comedy makes the cast all the more impressive.

There are of course two major reasons that this film has me excited - Cam and Amanda - two of my favourite actors. Cam plays the caring boyfriend of sweet Christian girl Marianne (Amanda), he plays guitar, sings Christian hymns, respects her chastity…yet, not is all as it seems. This casting is heaven for me so I can't wait for it's release.

Who knew I could love a movie about fighting?? Well I just watched one and I did love it.

Aided by the fact that the gorgeous Sean Faris was the star. (those of you who follow our work here at the 'hollow' may be familiar with Sean from our love of all things 'LIFE AS WE KNOW IT') Not only does he barely wear tops throughout the film, but neither does Cam Gigandet or Djimon Hounsou. Get the picture!!!!! Teen drama at its best, a little romance, pumping soundtrack, hot boys, Friday night in, bring it on!!!!!!!!

Wish I Was Dadies Little Girl!

Sorry ladies - it looks like our favourite evil vampire is well and truly busy for the foreseeable future...

Cam Gigandet’s girlfriend, Dominique Geisendorff, gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday.

Who wouldn't want to make babies with him??? Lucky girl.

We are lucky enough at Stars Hollow to have a roving reporter in the field! She is 'T', she is 14 years old, and she is our link to an age group we have long left, and a window on her generation.

Her first mission was to give us a Top 10 list. This list came about when she kept telling us all the 'spunk rats' of our era were 'gross'. I mean I'm not a huge Brad fan but you can't call him gross!!!! Even Johnnie Depp doesn't do it for her! Needless to say we then became fascinated with who teenage girls think are hot these days.

Some Extra Beach Bodies for K.

Aaah! Marcus! Even wheel-chair bound you were hot. He's well on his way towards 50 and this body is very worthy of K's beach perve.


Ryan Kwanten - these days he's moved a long way from Summer Bay and rarely has his shirt on. For this we will always be grateful. I know one reader in particular who will quiver with pleasure at this addition (Hi Kell).

Now I am well aware that my co-author has already shared the joys of Channing Tatum with you but I just couldn't leave it at that, in fact I have so many near naked shots of CT that I couldn't choose..

so here he is again. If you haven't seem 'She's The Man' yet than go and borrow it just for this scene!

I'm a recent admirer of this beach worthy body. It is Mr Cam Gigandet and HE IS HOT! Even as the evil vampire James from Twilight you could see the potential, but for real AAA eye candy see the fight flick - 'Never Back Down' also starring Sean Faris from K's list.

Greg Louganis, the pretty boy of international diving and one of the hottest beach bodies still.

I hope I have been able to add a little to K's recovery and that I have reaffirmed her faith in me after the Billy Ray fiasco.

I would particularly like to thank her for the Zac Efron addition to her list - I always need a little Zac in my day.
