All My Life.....

At the Australian Cinematographers Association Awards held last weekend, Thirsty Merc’s video clip for All My Life picked up a gold award for the music video category.

The talented Director of Photography who gets the gong is David Knight. This music video shoot was the continuation of a long five year collaborative relationship between Adrian Van de Velde (Director), David Knight (Director of Photography) and Rai Thistlethwayte (lead singer of Thirsty Merc). Rai and Adrian both have a love of the power of music and images, and have looked for opportunities to combine their respective talents. All My Life is the result – a powerful love story narrative set in a present day civil war context. The clip plays on the theme of heroic love; a female UN Military Observer is evacuated from a dangerous conflict, leaving behind her lover, a local soldier. The video clip was shot entirely on location at a Thai military base and post produced at The Post Bangkok.

It's exciting to hear the song getting some airplay both on radio and music tv.

Mousetrap Heart

Your Star's Hollow team are looking forward to a great night tonight - Thirsty Merc at the Corner Hotel.

This is a bit of a watershed evening as it's the first time in Star's Hollow history that we will be allowing our gorgeous husbands to join us!  For some reason they have never been overly interested in coming to one of our events ..... but give them an Australian rock band and an iconic venue and they're begging to come.  So to Surfer Boy and C.J. - It's Date Night!
