GUY WON!!!

Guy Pearce has taken home gold for Australia at the 2011 Emmy Awards.

Winning the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a TV Movie/Mini-Series for his role in Mildred Pierce, Guy brought some Aussie humour to the ceremony with his acceptance speech.

"I got to have sex with Kate Winslet many many times ... thank you for letting me insert myself into your world of Mildred Pierce," he said.

Charlie Sheen made a surprise appearance presenting at the ceremony.

The fired Two and a Half Men star took a long pause to allow the audience to applaud him before extending a peace offering to the show he infamously and sensationally left.

"From the bottom of my heart I wish you nothing but the best for this season. We spent eight wonderful years together and I'm sure you will go on to make great comedy television," he said, stopping halfway through to applaud himself.

Emmy Nominations were announced today, hosted by our good friend Melissa McCarthy, who seems to be everywhere since her hilarious turn in BRIDESMAIDS. No real surprises, except perhaps for the fact that SONS OF ANARCHY got no Emmy love. Seriously people????
