Tonight, I am pondering the question, is there enough Dermot Mulroney in the world at the moment? I fear not. Thank god for Friday night repeats. Wedding Date is on tonight, and I'm loving every second. Think back to the good old days when Mulroney would pop up all the time...Friends, My Best Friend's Wedding, Must Love Dogs, How to Make an American Quilt, Family Stone etc Aaaahh, the Mulroney!

How Fun

While we are talking about HSM alum - here is the latest clip from the much anticipated TV movie about the fabulous Sharpay Evans, Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure.
- After a talent scout spots her performing with her dog Boi at a charity gala, Sharpay sets off for the bright lights of NYC, convinced instant fame and fortune are in the bag. But the theatre is a dog-eat-dog world, as she and Boi discover when they encounter the devious owner of a pampered Pooch named “Countess” and a scheming Broadway starlet who will do anything to crush the competition.

Fortunately, Sharpay also meets Peyton (Austin Butler), a handsome student filmmaker who finds Sharpay nearly as fascinating as she finds herself.

OMG Stop the press - get my poor co-editor a brown paper bag....
The gorgeous Olivia Wilde was seen out on what appears to be a date with the equally gorgeous Ryan Gosling.
According to E.News the two were spotted at a Cincinnati aquarium recently and their coziness was caught on tape!  Unfortunately the footage has since been removed from Youtube but apparently showed them getting rather cosy!!

The Oscars

A quickie post of my thoughts on the Oscars last night.

I so wanted Anne and James to do a good job, and sadly, they just didn't cut it. the montage was promising but then..... Was James Franco stoned? He didn't look into the camera, he looked as though he couldn't be bothered, which left Anne looking as though she was trying too hard, which you can understand given James performance. He even jetted straight out of LA as soon as the Awards were finished saying he had to get back to class. Bring back Hugh I say!

Highlights were:

Helen Mirren and Russell Brand presenting - love them both. They are actually bloody funny, without trying or forcing. Got to love the Brits

Speaking of Brits, Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr had lots of fun paying out on each other.

And still further, what a gorgeous winner Colin Firth was. Absolutely great speech. Ooh, he;s so lovely!

Loved both Jeff Bridges and Sandra Bullock presenting.

Gwyneth singing...not so much thanks!!!

loved the simplicity of Jennifer Lawrence (see below) Even though as someone mentioned, it was a little Baywatch, I thought she looked gorgeous and very appropriate for her 20 years.

I may not be popular with this comment, but I think the Kirk Douglas thing went on way too long. People were saying he was so cute, but seriously, what's cute about some poor bastard who can't speak due to having a stroke?

Is John Stamos the new Charlie Sheen?

Apparent;ly talks are being held with john Stamos to join the cast of TWO AND A HALF MEN, after production has been halted due to Charlie Sheen's behaviour and attitude, and is now demanding even more money to come back to the set. John's character would be a new one, but slot in where Charlie left off. We shall wait and see.

They're Finally Out

These two have been denying they are anything more than friends for a while now - and if I was Selena I would be staying on the 'down-low' too after death threats of truely psyco proportions have been doing the rounds of the internet.  Looks like they have finally come out as they attended the Vanity Fair Oscars Party togther the other night. 

I'm tipping Selena might be behind the new mature haircut too - thank god for that.

I am quite bemused by these photos of the delightful Drew Barrymore out for a night on the town with her new boyfriend

Firstly there is the hair!  I'm the first one to embrace the 'surfer bleach' but this is heading towards ridiculous.

Secondly - what is with that oufit?  I can understand the choice of Chanel as the new BF is Will Kopelman, son of the former head of Chanel USA but could she have chosen an outfit that suited her less if she tried?

The worst part is she is off to a pre-Oscar dinner Celebrating Fashion & Film!!!

More Ryan.........

Seriously, what wouldn't you do to be part of this set. George Clooney directing and acting, with Ryan Gosling and Evan Rachel Wood. George's dad popped down to say hi, and Ryan clearly was into the schmooze with him. He would so be the type of guy you could bring home to meet the parents, and you know they'd be impressed..

By the way, the Ryan poll revealed, that people would not necessarily be disappointed with a little more Ryan, so let me just warn you , that while "Ides' is filming, you may see a bit of Ryan. The amazingness of Clooney and Gosling together...it's a lot to take in!
