Never Let me Go

This film has been intriguing me for quite awhile now. Apart from the cast of Carey Mulligan, whom i adore (if you still haven't seen AN EDUCATION then do yourself a favour please), Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield (Spiderman), the story has been adapted by Alex Garland of The Beach fame. I think it looks eerie and beautiful all at the same time.

"In his highly acclaimed novel Never Let Me Go, Kazuo Ishiguro (The Remains of the Day) created a remarkable story of love, loss and hidden truths. In it he posed the fundamental question: What makes us human? Now director Mark Romanek and writer Alex Garland bring Ishiguro’s hauntingly poignant and emotional story to the screen. Kathy (Mulligan), Tommy (Garfield) and Ruth (Knightley) live in a world and a time that feel familiar to us, but are not quite like anything we know. They spend their childhood at Hailsham, a seemingly idyllic English boarding school. When they leave the shelter of the school and the terrible truth of their fate is revealed to them, they must also confront the deep feelings of love, jealousy and betrayal that threaten to pull them apart" Fox Searchlight Pictures

I read the book when it came out and thought it was great. Will definitely be seeing this one. I'm intrigued to see what they do with it.
