I've been waiting with baited breath to hear the fate of our favourite drama One Tree Hill. I was most relieved back in May when it was announced that it would be back for an 8th season but then I found out it had only been picked up for half a season - seriously, how can they do that??
Well, all praise to the powers that be at the CW because it has been confirmed today that there will be a full 22 episode season for One Tree Hill this year!!! Woo Hooo!!!
It's a good thing that we've got a full-length season, as this may be the last Tree Hill sees of original cast members Sophia Bush (Brooke), James Lafferty (Nathan), and Bethany Joy Galeotti (Hayley), whose contracts expire this year. Oh well - let's cross that bridge when we come to it.
For now I am celebrating.

It turns out that Chris has decided to extend his stay. Looks like he's fully committed to recovery which is great. Good luck Chris.

Sarah and Amber: As previously reported, Amber will be getting a new, upper-crust BFF, which brings out Sarah’s jealous side. “We’re doing a story line where Amber’s always at her friend’s house and Sarah’s trying to figure out a really cool thing to take the kids to,” Katims teased. But this new friend won’t be as perfect as she sounds. “There’s the question of whether this girl might wind up having some stuff going on that starts to challenge the friendship.”
Julia and Joel: A second child? They’ll consider it!
Crosby, Jasmine, and Jabbar: “What we want to explore in the second season is the challenges of a long-distance relationship,” Katims said of the trio. “Is it going to work out for this family?”
Haddie, Amber, and Steve: Steve won’t be back with Amber when the show returns. Haddie, meanwhile, will get a new love interest from the other side of the tracks.
Zeke and Camille: The heads of the Braverman clan will be working on saving their marriage, which starts comedically in marriage counseling.
The ex factor: There are no plans to bring back Sarah’s ex-boyfriends Jason Ritter and Mike O’Malley, who are busy with The Event and Glee, respectively, but the door remains open to them.

NEW YORK - Zac Efron and two of his pals were recently seen squandering more than 2,000 dollars on lap dancers and vodka at a top New York strip club.
The ‘High School Musical’ star showed up at Flashdancers Gentlemen’s Club on Broadway on Sunday night and stayed until 3 a.m.
“Zac came in Sunday night around midnight with Corbin and one other male friend, who paid for everything,” The New York Post quoted a spy as saying.
“They ordered one bottle of Belvedere vodka and were enthralled with the dancers. They were interacting a lot with the girls and reaching out and showering money on them.
“The girls were all slim pretty brunettes, a bit like Zac’s girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens. They were two Americans, called Shannon and Brandi, and a gorgeous Brazilian called Raquel,” the spy added.
Hudgens was nowhere to be seen at the premiere of “Charlie St. Cloud” later that night. (ANI)

Tom Hardy, the new MAD MAX or the badass hot dude in INCEPTION, has just signed another film. It's called THIS MEANS WAR and co stars Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon. The stroy goes as follows:
“Two best friends, both of whom are spies, who go to war with each other after falling in love with the same woman (Reese Witherspoon). It’s about what’s more important — your best friend or the love of your life — and what happens when the two come into conflict with each other.”
Apparently this script has been around for quite awhile and most trecently had Sam Worthington and Bradley Cooper interested in doing it.
Apparently "Goodnight" is a Western starring Perry as John Goodnight, a circuit judge seeking vengeance on the man who killed his family. It is not certain yet whether Jason will star in front of the camera - that may be just too good to be true.

Zac Efron in a Nicholas Sparks film?????
Here is a synopsis of the novel...read it and picture Zac as Thibault...it just might happen as reported in NYMag on the weekend....
When U.S. Marine Logan Thibault finds a photograph of a smiling young woman half-buried in the dirt during his third tour of duty in Iraq, his first instinct is to toss it aside. Instead, he brings it back to the base for someone to claim, but when no one does, he finds himself always carrying the photo in his pocket. Soon Thibault experiences a sudden streak of luck—winning poker games and even surviving deadly combat that kills two of his closest buddies. Only his best friend, Victor, seems to have an explanation for his good fortune: the photograph—his lucky charm.
Back home in Colorado, Thibault can’t seem to get the photo—and the woman in it—out of his mind. Believing that she somehow holds the key to his destiny, he sets out on a journey across the country to find her, never expecting the strong but vulnerable woman he encounters in Hampton, North Carolina—Elizabeth, a divorced mother with a young son—to be the girl he’s been waiting his whole life to meet. Caught off guard by the attraction he feels, Thibault keeps the story of the photo, and his luck, a secret. As he and Elizabeth embark upon a passionate and all-consuming love affair, the secret he is keeping will soon threaten to tear them apart—destroying not only their love, but also their lives
So here they are.....

BY DANCING IN BEAUMONT
The Runaways is an interesting film! I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it and I wasn't bored by it, in fact I love a rock bio, but I think the film just didn't quite give me enough. The story is based on a book penned by Cherie Currie, so the film is ultimately based on her story, but as much as I loved the portrayal of the rock and roll lifestyle, I felt like i wanted more depth about the characters and how they felt and what they went through, rather than just the obvious sex and drugs scenarios that were clearly a staple of touring bands in the 70's!
The film maker is a first time director who has come from a largely music video background, which you can tell. There are some pretty cool shots, but then you are wondering in which direction she wants to take the film. Is it an arty indie film or a mainstream rock bio? I may sound prudish saying this but the opening scene of menstrual blood drops on the pavement didn't exactly warm me to the film, so it had a bit of work from there to get me in!
Kristen Stewart is good, but i'm afraid I could still see some Bella up on the screen. She's still a bit pouty and moody, but I imagine she was fairly well guided in her characterisation of Joan Jett as she was a producer of the film. Dakota Fanning does a great job as Cherie Currie. she is actually very believable as the lead singer who has a fairly fast downward spiral. I would have liked a little bit more information about the other girls in the band, but I guess there's not time for everything. The characterisation of Kim Fowley, the group's producer/manager/creator is creepily portrayed by Michael Shannon, who from what I have read, nailed the guy! Pretty scary dude!!! (pictured below with Cherie in more current times!) Riley Keogh, Elvis's granddaughter is solid in her first real acting gig playing Cherie's sister. And who should play her mum, but Tatum O'Neal, a surprise to say the least!
If you were ever a fan of the Runaways, you should definitely see it. If you love romantic comedies, then don't see it! It's not a film for all, case in point, Cool Rider loved it, and I just liked it!
Check out Cherie's chainsaw art at the following link!
Sadly, Sandy, the drummer, who was actually a really likeable character in the film, died a few years ago of cancer.
The Real Runaways
Kim Fowley and Cherie Currie
It's a guilty pleasure........and I have to admit, that Hank Moody does it for me!
Here is a sneak peek at a promo for next season (who the hell knows when and where it will play in Australia). Can't wait to see another fave in this series...check out the goatee wearing spunkrat!
After a long wait Chloe Sullivan will be officially introduced into the Superman comic. It was officially announced at Comic Con today. There have been hints and DC Comics bought the rights for the character but they haven't really used her in the past.
She will be featured in the Action Comics in the Jimmy Olsen co-feature.
