Sooki's not the only one!

Another Gilmore Girls allum - Amy Sherman Palladino, writer and creator of Gilmore Girls, is going to pilot for a new series for ABC Family -  Bunheads.

Bunheads is about Michelle, a Las Vegas showgirl who “impulsively” marries a guy and moves to his hometown where she starts to teach at his mother’s dance school.
The series is set to be an hourlong drama.
Amy is also writing a pilot series for ABC - an adaptation of The Nanny Diaries.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that one of these makes it unlike the much anticipated 'Wyoming Project' or 'The Return Of Jezebel James'

More From Melissa

Following fast after her Emmy win, Melissa McCarthy (Sookie on Gilmore Girls) is now co-creating a new comedy series for CBS.

Melissa sold her pilot script to CBS, which she wrote with husband Ben Falcone. The comedy project would be co-written and co-executive produced by the couple.
The premise of the untitled series is “about a woman in her mid-40s who has a spectacular midlife crisis. The show is about what a midlife crisis means for a woman, which is very different from the way it affects men.”
Melissa also recently sold her first film to Paramount Pictures, a movie about a group of Midwestern women to set out to steal the Stanley Cup.
Looks like Melissa has been busy and we are going to benefit!

Cute couple alert

Only thing that might work better for me, was Emma Stone and the Gos! But I'm liking Andrew and Emma, pretty cute!

Lauren On Leno

There is nothing better than a Lauren Graham interview - and this one with Jay Leno last night is no exception.  Enjoy the crazy that is Lauren Graham!

There's Always A Good View at the Airport...

It's been a while since we've spotted these two so it was nice to see their faces yesterday at the airport - along with Miley's mum, Tish.  Liam is looking decidedly chipper - wonder why?

Ryan joy

There is a plethora of Ryan at the moment. Back to back publicity for 3 different films and now on set with another one. The boy needs a rest. However, we need to make the most of it while this is the case. So here are a couple of pics from the last couple of days. Seriously...hot! BTW, CRAZY STUPID LOVE now open in Australian cinemas, go see it people. You won't be sorry!

New "new Year's Eve' trailer

It's looking kinda cheesy, but lots of fun, with fun cast. Although a Heigl and a Lea Michele in the one movie might be a bit too much!!!!

Jen's in luuurrrrve....

New Bruno Mars

Not only does Bruno Mars have a new song for us, he also won the coverted first place on the Breaking Dawn soundtrack!  His is the first song to be announced and I'm assuming that is pretty much a license to print money.

The Brownlow Blue Carpet -

(WARNING - This post is for Australians as it will mean absolutely nothing to the rest of you!)

It is going to be a very big week for my fellow editor as, unfortunately she is a Collingwood supporter so not only are her team in the Grand Final, but a Collingwood player also won the Brownlow last night.  Congrats to Dane Swan who is clearly a very deserving winner even if he does play for Collingwood.  But seriously, the only reason we all tune in to this train wreck of an awards night is to see the footy players wives strut their stuff.  For some reason this most boring of ceremonies still manages to transfix us all and has an almost hypnotic quality to it.  Anyway..... The Blue Carpet.

I'm going to start with some Saints because we all know they are the true stars of the AFL!

Lovely Lauren

Our lovely friend lauren has been getting fit. She has written her own piece in 'SELF' magazine about training like an athlete for 5 weeks to get in shape for her photoshoot for the magazine. Such an inspiration! Lauren has simple advice that she also followed: “Find what you like and try not to stress about it”.

New Man For Vanessa?

Looks like Baby V is having some fun!  Austin Butler is the guy and although they are clearly together in these shots - it's in no way a done deal.  Rumour is she is just hooking up and having fun!!

Justin & Selena

I couldn't resist posting these photos of Selena Gomez and Justin Beiber - they remind of how it felt to be 17.  Pity the paparazzi were there.

One To Watch! (or two)

Think Scott Speedman meets one of the Hemsworth brothers and you have Mr Luke Bracey.
He's a scene stealer, looks damn cute with his shirt off and he's AUSTRALIAN.  All ingredients that make him worthy of my 'ones to watch' list.
I met Luke today when I saw 'Monte Carlo' in which he plays Leighton Meester's love interest.  I was immediately smitten with his dimples and when he opened his mouth and I realised he was one of ours I was sold.
Luke has previously done time on 'Home and Away' and ABC's 'Dance Academy' and has a couple of other offerings in production.  I am anticipating big things for this export.

While we are on the topic of 'Monte Carlo' - go and see it if only for the supporting male cast.  Not only will you get Luke, and Cory Monteith, but you will get to spend some time with this lovely specimen...

His name is Pierre Boulanger and if french accents do it for you then this is the one for you.  Already a prolific actor in France, this is Pierre's first American film and I promise you it won't be his last.

This movie is fun and frothy but I'm tipping all the actors in it have a lot more up their sleeves so stay tuned.

Footloose

So, as not many of us are hugely keen to see the new and not improved FOOTLOOSE, let's concentrate on the original and best. Here's Kevin talking about his days as an 'undercover' student for his preparation for FOOTLOOSE.

Drive, Nicolas, Ryan.....

Doesn't get much better than this....a Danish accent, my true love, good times! seriously fun interview.

Big Miracle

Starring Drrew Barrymore, John Krasinski and Kristen Bell, this movie was inspired by the true story that captured the hearts of people across the world. Big Miracle tells the amazing tale of a small town news reporter (John Krasinski) and a Greenpeace volunteer (Drew Barrymore) who are joined by rival world superpowers to save a family of majestic gray whales trapped by rapidly forming ice in the Arctic Circle.

What is not to love - I can see a feel-good weepy coming on...

Oh and did you notice the divine Mr Mulroney?? Yes please.

White Frog

What first attracted me to the film White Frog was its' cast.  Harry Shum Jnr, the amazing dancer and 'other Asian' from Glee was the first name that caught my eye.  I follow Harry on Twitter so was interested to see what his film was like - especially when I realised he was sharing the screen with Boo Boo Stewart.  You may recognise Boo Boo from Twilight (Seth Clearwater).  What absolutely sealed the deal was the presence of Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf).  All three of these young men are on my list of 'ones to watch' so I had high hopes.

White Frog follows a family dealing with the death of Chaz Young (Shum), a brother, son and friend.

Tyler Posey plays a high school senior who befriends Booboo’s Nick (Chaz' brother), who has Asperger’s Syndrome.  This is an independent film which should get a release next year.

When the trailer to a film makes you cry then you know it's worth watching.  Yes, I teared up.  What do you think - would you go and see it?
